WCP Open Mic Series Launches in June

Thanks to the hard work of community members Karl Johnson and Vincent Anderson, our lovely stage will be the venue for a twice-monthly Open Mic series. "A Mic For Us" launched with a soft opening on June 2nd.

Scheduled for the first and third Thursdays from June through September, these sessions will run from 5:30 to 8:30 and allow participants to sign up for a spot when they arrive at the park. Everyone is welcome, and a sound system will be provided.

This is a great chance to share your talents with other enthusiastic community members, or just enjoy an evening in the park with a variety of musical and other performances. Bring your act (musical, dramatic, comedy -- but family-friendly please) to the West Central Park stage. Next session is Thursday, June 16th. Hope to see you there!
