Last October we lost our great friend Doug McChesney. A staunch WCP supporter, one of our first and most active volunteers and a longtime board member, Doug was deeply involved in many things around the park, especially the music. He acquired sound equipment and lighting, helped set it up, run it all, and take it down. If there wasn't a microphone cable, speaker, or guitar in his hand, there was a shovel.
We miss him a lot. Doug's family and friends are gathering to remember and honor him this Saturday, from 4 to 5:30 in the circle between the arbors at West Central Park. Everyone is invited to join us.
