Lighting Up the Winter Darkness

It's beginning to feel a lot like winter, which means it's time to light up the dark with some seasonal color. The park elves plan to get our holiday tree lights up later this week -- look for them when you pass by.

And as you can see from the foliage images by our favorite park photographer, there is a lot of color to be seen during daylight hours, too.

Our volunteers have started pruning and thinning as the trees wind down, offering a different view of many plants that are hidden by abundant summer foliage.

Stroll through as the sun burns off the fog, and enjoy the unique, close-up beauty of this different season.
