Fall Fest, Day of Caring, and Our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Party

Happy Friday Park Peeps!! Tomorrow is the first day of Autumn and this weekend is our last extended work party with the summer hours, then we move to our reduced fall/winter schedule in October. Come join us this Sunday from 10am to 2pm to help with park maintenance and policy sign installations!

Harvest Festival Open House

Tomorrow, on Saturday, September 21 from 11am to 4pm, our neighborhood friends at The Marie Bed & Breakfast will be hosting a public open house and harvest festival! Come celebrate the changing of seasons and get an inside look at the newly renovated property! Dance in the new season with Tacoma bluegrass band Cosmo’s Dream. Tour the winsome grounds and finely furnished interiors. Taste fresh pressed juice and other treats made from the gardens and fruit trees. Free to the public! Families welcome!

United Way Day of Caring

Next Friday on September 28th is the annual United Way of Thurston County Day of Caring. For the past 26 years they have been bringing together volunteers to complete service projects for local agencies. And the West Central Park is honored to be one of their locations again this year! With their help we will be installing some new steel edging along our pathways. All are welcome to attend and help! We’ll be gathering at the park from 10am to 12pm.

Volunteer Appreciation Party

The West Central Park would simply not exist if it weren’t for the countless volunteers who have contributed their time and talent over the past five years. And we want to honor everyone who has taken part in this monumental project! If you’ve had any part at all in the progress of the West Central Park, please come join us on October 7th, 2018 from 2-6pm to celebrate all your hard work! There will be music, food, friends, and fun for all!
