Equinox Dance Party, Saturday September 23rd!

Strap on your dancin’ sandals for this last-of-the-summer music concert at West Central Park! Next Saturday, September 23rd, at 6:30 pm it will begin! First the lovely, and certainly incomparable Oly’s own dear Hinges will lull you with their otherworldly lyrics and melodies. Bring blankets and chairs to sit back and enjoy this first set to the fullest! Then, right around 8pm, tighten up your sandals a notch or take them off all together because the regions’s premier reggae band High Ceiling will get you up and dancing around for the next couple of hours and you won’t mind a bit! When you get peckish, no worries! We’ll have Vante’s Inferno on site to slake your hunger and thirst. See you at the Park next Saturday at 6:30 pm! Don’t forget this concert is FREE!

Also that very same day the Park will be hopping. There will be a fundraiser for local hero Tracy Sorrell starting right at 10 am and running till 4 o’clock. There will be live music, a sale, an auction and lots more! Tracy needs funding for a rare medical procedure and so there will lots of ways to plug into this event and help Tracy!

At the north end of the Park on September 23rd also, there will be a volunteer project to get steel edging installed along the Park pathways. The United Way will be there with their Day of Caring team if you’d like to plug in doing that work we will certainly welcome you!

Next Friday afternoon, September 22nd, around 4 o’clock we will be gathering to decorate the Park with lights and lovelies for the Equinox Dance Party, can you help? Come on out Friday and we’ll give you a string of lights and some vines to make the Park look special with!

And as aways, yes, always, there will be a regular maintenance work Party tomorrow, Sunday, September 17th from 10-2. We get lots done at these sessions and the neat thing is everyone who wants to help is welcome! We meet new neighbors all the time. We’d love to see you there! There has been a standing Bocce Ball game after each work party too!

See you around the Park.
